PLANTAIN TORTILLA PIZZA

“The answer to your problems is always PIZZA. There, I said it. Especially this little personal one made with a base of @positivelyplantain plantain tortillas. These have been my obsession as of lately, they are super versatile and the only 3 ingredients are green plantains, baking powder and sea salt. Nothing funky and oh so delicious.

For this guy, I used @farmtoforksauce tomato basil sauce, @miyokoscreamery melty vegan mozzarella, @applegate uncured turkey pepperoni, tomatoes, @hamama_greens micro greens and some red pepper flakes for good measure. Baked on 400 for 20 minutes and devoured in about 2. Working on mindful eating but ‘twas hard when this pizza was involved.

RECIPE

Cori Finglass @matcha_and_margs

INGREDIENTS:

  • POSITIVELY PLANTAIN TORTILLAS

  • TOMATO SAUCE OF CHOICE

  • APPLEGATE UNCURED TURKEY PEPPERONI

  • MIYOKOS VEGAN MOZZARELLA CHEESE, OR CHEESE OF CHOICE. 

  • MICROGREENS, OR GREENS OF CHOICE. 

  • RED PEPPER FLAKES, TO TASTE. 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Spread a layer of sauce over the entire tortilla. 

  3. Slice cheese and place onto tortillas. Top with the desired amount of pepperoni, tomatoes, and greens. 

  4. Put the tortilla with toppings into the oven for 20 minutes. 

  5. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes then serve immediately and enjoy!
